George R. Carradini's Obituary
George Richard Carradini, 78, of Tulsa, Oklahoma met his Lord “face-to-face” on July 2, 2015 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. “Ric” Carradini, son of George and Florence Carradini, was born January 3, 1937 in Astoria, New York. After graduating from Newtown High School he moved to Deer Park, NY where he met the love of his life, Ruth Maggio. They married in 1958 and were together until his passing. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Ruth, his sister, Eileen Herlan of Holbrook, NY, his son, David J. Carradini (Rosemary Cavanagh Carradini) of South Kingston, RI, his son, George S. Carradini (Katherine Cregge Carradini) of Tulsa, OK, and his daughter, Nancy J. Carradini of Tampa, FL. He is also survived by his three grandsons, Stephen A. Carradini (Barbara Hazelwood Carradini) of Raleigh, NC, Joseph D. Carradini of Tulsa, OK, and John P. Carradini of Tulsa, OK. Ric worked at Grumman Aerospace in the 1960’s on the heat shield of the lunar module; countless buildings that form the New York City skyline including the Chrysler Building and LaGuardia Airport with Metal Lathers Union Local 46; pontoon floats at Edo Aire (Farmingdale, NY), the A-10 at Fairchild Republic (Farmingdale, NY), and numerous aircraft at Nordam Repair Division (Tulsa, OK) from which he retired. Ric was also an ordained minister and loved to teach the Word of God every opportunity he had. He founded Believers’ Bible Church in Deer Park, NY, graduated from the Tulsa School of Biblical Languages, and attended Tulsa Bible Church. He was an active volunteer for Christ for Humanity as well as a chaplain for Southern Hills Retirement Home in Tulsa. He also loved camping, fishing, hiking, shooting, and antelope hunting. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Services will be held this Tuesday at 11:00 AM at Tulsa Bible Church.
