George D. Daly Jr.'s Obituary
George D. Daly, Jr. died peacefully on Sunday, July 26, 2015. He was 87. George was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on June 12, 1928. He was the son of George and Margaret Daly. George graduated from the University of Houston with a degree in Petroleum Engineering. He met his wife, Mineta, at the university, and they were married 63 years. After graduation, he was employed by Atlantic Refining Company in Midland, Texas, and then relocated to Tulsa in 1955. In 1962, George founded George D. Daly Jr. and Associates Inc. (a petroleum consulting firm). George was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Mineta Daly; 3 daughters and their spouses: Diane and James Means, Linda and Kim Roentved, Mellyn and Scott Seay. He also leaves behind his grandchildren: Chad and Jillian Russell, Kara and Kevin Clemmons, Cole and Shannon Daly-Roentved, Kelley and Graham Brown, Daniel Wallace, and Jade Daly-Roentved; and great-grandchildren: Landen Russell and Kyle Clemmons. A private service was held. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to a charity of your choice.
