George Kevin Davis' Obituary
George “Kevin” Davis, age 51, passed away Monday July 18, 2016 at his home in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma after a courageous fight with brain cancer. He leaves behind his beloved wife, and best friend of 26 years, Cindy Grimes Davis, his daughter Sarah and his son Grant, his mother and father, Denice and Gene Davis, of Broken Arrow. Also a brother, Don Freeze of Joplin. Along with many other relatives, in laws, nieces, a nephew, and a multitude of friends. He loved each of them dearly and they brought so much joy to his life. Family and friends were always first to Kevin. Kevin was born in Wichita, Kansas on February 20th, 1965 and moved to Broken Arrow in 1970. He graduated from Broken Arrow High School in 1983, and continued on to receive his Bachelors of Business Administration Degree from Northeastern State University. Kevin was married to Cindy Grimes Davis on July 21st, 1990 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. They continued their lives in Broken Arrow with their two children. Kevin was an agent for Farmers Insurance, and had worked in the insurance industry for over 25 years. He enjoyed entertaining family and friends and playing golf. He never met a stranger and his smile never left his face. If you knew Kevin, you knew there was nothing he would not do for you and “no” was never in his vocabulary. Going to the ends of the earth for his family and friends was a daily occurrence for Kevin. He will be greatly missed by so many and we are all better people for knowing him. During his last months he was tenderly cared for by Seasons Hospice of Tulsa, Oklahoma. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday July 22nd, at First Baptist Church in Broken Arrow. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made towards Seasons Hospice.
