I have many fond memories of sitting in the Fish family living room visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Fish when I was a young teenager. The Fish family befriended me and gave me a place to hang out. In thinking back on those enjoyable times I just realized Mr. Fish paid me a huge honor by entrusting me with the responsibility of taking his two young sons Kevin and Kelly, on a weekend trip to Lake Brownwood in his old 50 something chevy. I remember it was one of my first times to BBQ. It was stringy tough jack rabbit, it was half cooked, soaked in lighter fluid, and tasted horrible. I can't imagine the things you must have told your Dad about how terrible I was at feeding you, but I look back on it now and I appreciate his willingness to trust me with your safety and I know it helped me grow in confidence on my journey to being a man. And I don't know if you remember it much, but, I had fun. Thank you Mr. Fish! RIP.
