Over 40 years ago I was with George and he was so excited to introduce me to ….Pookie and Dude, who lived around Robins Roost….near the Fort Gibson Dam…….
I was welcomed in their home and was so proud to know , Pookie, knew my grandfather, Judge Claude Garrett…….I never forgot their kindness to me, a stranger,….but clearly saw their love for George……..some kindnesses you never forget.Carla Knight Garrett Schaefer

Saundra and kids, so very sad and sorry to hear the news. I worked with George all the years he was at AAA. He was so full of life. Could be so mischievous; will always remember his laughter and big smile. Think he had a heart of gold. Recall that he loved barbecue and always raved about Slicks. So when a co-worker and I went to Muskogee office, we decided to visit Slick’s. Can almost hear George’s laughter when he learned we’d been there. It’s a wonder we didn’t fall right through the floor, and booth seats dipped so far down a person could get stuck. But, food was good, just as George had said. I retired in 2015, but can honestly say George is one of the people in my 41 years with the company who I’ll always have fond memories of working with. You’re in my thoughts and prayers.
George & Sondra got married about the same time a half dozen other couples in our gang got married. Through the years, our ‘gang’ shared great fun dining out, fishing, and other sorts of fun. George & I were friends first and Business Associates later. George taught me to play golf. There are many good memories. RIP
