George Lennon 88, of Bartlesville, OK passed from this life on Sunday February 3rd. He was born in Brooklyn, New York to his parents George A. Lennon and Grace Sweeney Lennon.George, a US Navy Veteran was a Journeyman Engraver and in his later years was a self-employed handyman and painter.George was proceeded in death by his parents, first wife Lillian Lennon, daughter Lynda Wickham, two grandchildren Christopher Wickham and Alex Andrea Harvey and six brothers and sisters.He is survived by his very devoted and caring wife Emmalene Lennon, his sister Florence Giglio (Vic), son Steven Lennon, daughter Andrea Lennon (Ken Poppiti) and Dina Harvey (Randy). Grandchildren Greg Wickham (Randi), Lindsay Nair (Sidh) and Ryan Harvey. Great Grandchildren McKenzie Stoneking, Jack Stoneking, Lennon Wickham, Logan Wickham, and Naveen Nair. He is also survived by his blended family – children Janice Holt (Bruce), Jerry Ellexson, John Ellexson and Judy Roberts. 9 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren.George loved music, especially Frank Sinatra and the crooners of the 40/50’s, traveling to Branson, going to the casino and visiting friends and family throughout the country.He and Emmalene regularly attended church services at East Cross United Methodist Church.George had a sweet tooth, and very much enjoyed Emmalene’s cakes and pies especially her homemade carrot cake.A New Yorker at heart he loved a good bagel with smear.George spoke very few words but words were not needed to know how much he loved his wife and family.In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to be made to The Journey Home in Bartlesville OK. http://www.thejourneyhomeok.com.No services are scheduled at this time.
