His name was PHIL Norvell. He was a member of the legendary Tulsa band Marble Phrogg. In the late 1960s, he was one of the best guitarists in the South. Phil was a part of the Tulsa music scene. He knew the Greats and the ones who should-have-been great - and treated them all as friends with generosity and kindness. Phil saw the best in people. And once he found out that The Music fed my soul, too, it often arrived on my doorstep and later in my mailbox along with the most amazing letters signed "All My Love, Phil."
He had the *best* laugh.
He was the world's tallest Twinkling Imp.
He gave me The Blues and smoked Herb with my seventy year old mother.
Phil had no Fight in him and it cost him everything.
Sleep well my beloved friend. Say hello to Leon for me.
