Jerry Adams' Obituary
Jerry Adams, 76, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma went home to be with his Lord and Savior on September 4, 2023.
A celebration of Jerrys life has been scheduled for Friday September 15 located at Floral Haven Chapel, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Pastor Dwight West will be officiating. Burial will follow immediately in Floral Haven Cemetery. Pallbearers will include Dee Adams, Bobby Adams, Johnny Adams, Mitch Bunch, Bill Horton, Ron Robertson. Honorary Pallbearers include Mike Calvert, Gary Harper, Dallas Mocha, & Miley Mocha.
He was born October 18, 1946, to Goldie and Irma Jean Horton Adams but was raised by Robert L. Bunch whom he knew as father. Jerry graduated from Muskogee, Central High School in 1964. He married the love of his life Susan Malia Redeagle on September 16, 1978, Muskogee, Oklahoma. They shared 45 God filled glorious years together. Jerry was a Coke Cutter at Sun Refinery until retirement in 2001. He was a member of Florence Street Baptist Church for 13 wonderful years. He loved the Lord and loved studying the word of God and would share the Gospel with anyone whom would listen. He would debate The Bible with anyone at any time as well. He had a passion for softball in his young adult years. He loved coaching his youngest son Chris in baseball. He loved to fish. His hobby was yard work. He enjoyed morning coffee with daughter Kristie. He was very proud of his son Kurt's talent in Art. He loved helping people who could not afford it. His quote was "If God gives you gifts you should use them to help anyone that is in need" And God knows Jerry was talented in everything he touched. He would never accept a dime from anyone.
He would let you feed him though.
He is survived by his loving wife, Susan Adams of the home; daughter Kristie Robertson and husband Ron Robertson of Muskogee, OK; Six Grandchildren Kristal Pierce of Muskogee, Kacy Ward of Muskogee, Kari Ward of Pensacola, Florida, Kelli Winkler of Tulsa, Durgan Darnell of Muskogee, and Kamber Miner of Muskogee; sixteen great-grandchildren; two Great-Great grandchildren; one Uncle, Paul Bunch of Tulsa; sister-in-law Patty Adams of Jenks, OK; mother-in-law, Alberta Redeagle of Carmichael, CA; bother-in-law Tom Redeagle and wife Kathy of Joplin, MO; brother-in-law, Paul Redeagle and wife Judy of Carmichael, CA; niece, Kim Mocha and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was proceeded in death by his parents Robert and Irma Jean Bunch; brother Darrel Adams; son, Christopher Adams; son Kurtis Adams; granddaughter Kirsty Adams; and great- grandson Michael Genn.
Jerry will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him and loved him. He would be very happy that we all came together to Celebrate his return home to the Lord.
