Gerry Compton's Obituary
Gerald "Gerry" Lee Compton, 73 of Tulsa, Oklahoma passed from this life on Sunday, June 21, 2020 at his residence. He was born December 29, 1946 in Richland Center, Wisconsin to his parents, Arthur Morton Compton and Hilda Martha Rockweiler Compton. He married the love of his life, Mary Louise Poehling on July 31, 1971 and they have shared in over 48 wonderful years together.
Gerry is survived by his loving wife, Mary Lou Compton of Tulsa, Oklahoma; a son, Daniel Compton and his wife Mboka of Elkridge, Maryland; a daughter, Dee Dee Compton of Tulsa, Oklahoma; four siblings, Deena Leah Byers and her husband Brent of Austin, Texas, Arthur "Junior" Compton and his wife Elaine of Madison, Wisconsin, Anna Zenz and her husband David of Madison, Wisconsin and Mary Jane Montgomery of Demorest, Georgia; one granddaughter, Milana Compton and many friends and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Hilda Compton; a daughter, Tracy Compton; and three siblings, Robert, Anita and Louise.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 from 3-7 p.m. at Floral Haven Funeral Home with a Rosary Service at 6 p.m.. A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
