Gerald Gates, age 82, a resident of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, passed from this life Thursday, February 29, 2024, in Broken Arrow. Gerald Lee Gates was born November 03, 1941, to BC and Virginia (Knight) Gates in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Gerald married the love of his life, Patsy Adams, 65 years ago in April.
Gerald had several passions: his love of golf, OU Sports of any kind; the trumpet; his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Gerald left behind his bride of 65 years: Pat Gates; children: Mike Gates and wife Tammi, Tammy Johnson and husband JP, and Brad Gates and wife Natasha; grandchildren: Kassidy Vanderboegh and husband Joe, Shelby Dalsing and husband Will, Dylan Johnson and wife Evan, Blake Johnson, and Alannah Harris and husband Caleb; great-grandchildren: Weston Vanderboegh, Georgia Vanderboegh, Landry Vanderboegh, Parks Vanderboegh, Matilda Dalsing, October Dalsing, Knox Harris, and Sadie Harris; and brother: Ray Gates and wife Janet.
Gerald is preceded in death by his parents: BC and Virginia Gates.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 3:00 PM, Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel, in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
