GiGwan Hing's Obituary
GiGwan Hing, husband of Evelyn, and son-in-law, of Don & Ann Payne, passed into glory on Thursday, Aug. 24 at the age of 47.
He was born in South Korea and immigrated to this country with his family at age 5. The Hing family lived in California and New Mexico before settling in Tulsa, owning and operating the China Bowl restaurant for many years.
After high school, he went to OSU, where he earned a degree and was employed by Phillips Petroleum in Bartlesville, and later by BAMA in Tulsa. He met and married Evelyn Payne in 2014, and they settled in Broken Arrow where they lived until his death.
His parents, father Ri Kyang and mother Woi Kya Hing preceded him in death, and he is survived by his wife, Evelyn, and his brother, John Hing, and John's wife, Lilly, and their three children. He left an enduring legacy of generosity and faithfulness to his family and friends, even as he endured the ravages of cancer in his final days. He openly confessed his faith in Jesus Christ as his Savior and was greatly comforted by this relationship as he prepared for glory.
