Glen C. Hereden's Obituary
Glen Hereden was born April 21, 1933 in Nuyaka, Oklahoma to Ezra Lee and Goldie Hereden. He is survived by his son Michael, his daughter-in-law Sherri, brother Earl Hereden, sister-in-law Judy, as well as nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife, Juanita, two daughters, Shirley and Valerie, two brothers, Jack and Jimmy Hereden. He had one sister Edith Griffin, and another who passed at birth. He retired from Rockwell International in Tulsa as a Machine Shop Supervisor. His division constructed parts for various Government projects, including doors for the Space Shuttles. Nearing his retirement, Glen and Michael bought an 80-acre cattle ranch in Haskell, which they named the H Bar H Ranch ; they raised Herford cattle. They also sold firewood and pecans from their land, and grew hay for the cattle. Glen enjoyed traveling. He looked forward each year to taking the family on vacation. He also enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing. In his later years, he would start the day with his cup of coffee outside on his porch, reading the Bible and just enjoying his fellowship with God. Glen will be remembered as a man of great compassion who never hesitated to help anyone in need, to lift others up in prayer, and to support his church and various charitable organizations. He will be greatly missed.
