Glen Ray Johnson's Obituary
Glen Ray Johnson, 63 of Muskogee, Oklahoma passed away on July 7th, 2018 in Tulsa. He fought a tough battle from cancer and is now playing his instruments in heaven.Memorial Services will be held 1 o’clock, Friday July 13th at 1125 S. York Street Muskogee, Ok 74403 with Gene Thompson of York Street Christian Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Floral Haven Cemetery, 6500 S. 129th E. Ave, Broken Arrow, OK. Arrangements are by Floral Haven Funeral Home.Glen was born in Muskogee to Elmer Johnson and Sarah Marie Johnson (Hood) on November 26th, 1954. He went to school in Muskogee, where he met his wife Judy Johnson (Smith). They married November 12th, 1973. He worked as a CNC programmer for TCA now Vallourec for 35 years. He was an honorably discharged army staff sergeant of company c first battalion 279th infantry of the Oklahoma National Guard. He was involved in the church praise team, playing violin and guitar. He enjoyed his music, and played in a band with family and friends at local nursing homes and churches for several years. He enjoyed photography, shooting guns on the range, sports, traveling with his wife, spending time with his family, and loved animals (especially cats). He was known for his sense of humor and made quite a few friends over the years and was loved by many.Glen is preceded in death by, his parents Elmer and Sarah Marie Johnson and brother Dan Johnson.He is survived by, wife Judy Johnson, daughter Jennifer York, son in law Josh York, sister Mary Jo Mathews, brother James Johnson, grandchildren Alex York, Ayden York, and Orion York. Sister and brothers in law, several nieces and nephews.The family would like to thank Clarehouse, Evergreen Hospice, medical staff, family and friends for all the love you gave to him and us.Memorial service will be 1:00 PM, Friday, July 13th, York Street Christian Church.
