Glen Lee Moreland's Obituary
Glen Lee Moreland was born August 18, 1940, in Morningside Hospital Tulsa, Oklahoma. He had one of the first of its kind stomach surgeries at five weeks old, and was called a miracle baby to have survived at that time. Glen was raised by his mother Edna Rust who proceeds him in death and he had one older brother Gayle Moreland (deceased). He graduated from Will Rogers High School in the great class of 1958 and spent 30+ years on the reunion committee. He served in the US army and was a non-combat veteran. Glen was married to Kathy McCann June 8, 1962 and shared 58 years together before her death in June, 2020. From that marriage came two daughters Karen Moreland Warren and Leslie Moreland, of whom he was extremely proud. He worked his entire life in the Banking profession and thirty-four of those years were at Peoples State Bank (Tulsa). He always had an adventurous spirit and loved to travel and see new places. His travels included visiting 15 countries, and he especially liked the island of Santorini. He was a kind and gentle person and those who knew him loved his sense of humor and absolute loyalty. He is survived by his daughters, cousins as well as many friends and family members.
His daughters are heartbroken to lose their beloved father. A man of great integrity, he encouraged them to dream big and achieve anything they put their mind to. He was the foundation and rock of his family and his daughters are grateful for having the best dad anyone could ask for.
