Glenda Jolene Stevenson's Obituary
Glenda Jolene Stevenson, of Broken Arrow, passed away January 25, 2021, in a Tulsa hospital with her husband of 44 years at her side. She was born in Tulsa on January 9, 1941, and spent almost all her life in the Tulsa area. Moving to Broken Arrow in 1982, after 6 years in Oklahoma City, Glenda was encouraged by her husband to leave work in banking to pursue her love of flower arranging at Platt College. Her work in flower shops around Tulsa led her to take her design skill into craft shows and flea markets and ultimately into a nearly 20-year career reselling antiques and collectables. Glenda retired in 2008 to enjoy her family.
Glenda was preceded in death by her parents, the Reverend Paul and Thelma Franks. Glenda is survived by her husband, Cliff, still of the home in Broken Arrow; her daughters Cynthia Norton, of Tulsa, and Donna Carr, of Mustang, Oklahoma; 6 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. No services, at Glenda's request, are planned at this time. Cremation and interment will be private, at a later date.
