Glenn W. Hogg's Obituary
Glenn Hogg was known for his love of family, outgoing personality and compassion for others. He was born in Oklahoma City in 1930, attended Central High School in OKC and received his Juris Doctorate from Oklahoma City University. He met, fell in love with Norma Peters and they married in 1953. Together, Glenn & Norma had two children, Steven Hogg of Broken Arrow, OK and Sheryl Hogg of Zimmerman, MN. As their children grew, Glenn provided love & guidance, serving as a Boy Scout Leader for Steve’s scout troop and daring to attend father-daughter Girl Scout campouts with Sheryl and traveling to visit her in Japan. At work, Glenn provided for his family, serving as corporate counsel for Home Insurance Co. He retired in his early 60’s and he & Norma enjoyed spending time camping at area lakes with their family & friends. He enjoyed playing the organ & took the time to entertain others regularly at several area senior care centers. Glenn was a proud grandparent to Lyndsey Hogg of Wichita KS. He was a popular caller for several square dancing clubs over the years and made many lifetime friends through this pastime. Glenn’s life was full of love & care for others, and he continued to reach out and help others even as he struggled with Alzheimers. All who knew him will miss him dearly. Glenn is survived by his wife, Norma, his son, Steve & daughter in law, Sheryl and granddaughter, Lyndsey. Private family services will be held Tuesday, October 13, 2015.
