Glenn Phipps' Obituary
Glenn Phipps, age 72, passed this life on September 27, 2024, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Born on March 11, 1952, in Muskogee, Oklahoma, Glenn led a life marked by intelligence, humor, and kindness. His career in Biomedics Electronics showcased his brilliance and dedication, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew him.
Glenn had a passion for radio-controlled planes and a fascination with all kinds of machinery, boats, planes, and trains. A devoted fan of Doctor Who, he dreamed of one day owning a farm where he could work with his hands, a true testament to his hands-on nature. His love for classic car shows and Renaissance fairs, often enjoyed with his beloved wife Kathleen, added joy and adventure to his life.
Glenn and Kathleen’s love story began at the bottom of a mine in Colorado, blossoming into 46 years of marriage filled with cherished memories and a lasting legacy. Known for his morning cheerfulness and playful teasing, Glenn brought light and laughter to his family.
He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, forever reminding us of the joy he brought into our lives.
He is preceded in death by his parents Elba and Sara Phipps; siblings Ray Phipps and Roger Phipps; and cousin Dan.
Glenn is survived by his wife Kathleen Phipps; children Meredith, Christine, and Jeremy; 10 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; sister-in-law Nancy Phipps; along with other family members and friends who will forever cherish their memories.
A celebration of life service will be held on Wednesday, October 9th, 2024 from 4PM till 6PM at the Floral Haven Family Center in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
