Glenn Erwin Thompson's Obituary
Glenn Thompson was a loving husband to Cheryle Winkle Thompson, father to Glenn Erwin Thompson II (Beau) and Spencer Elliott Thompson, and brother to siblings: Richard and Sharon Thompson, Larry and Linda Thompson, Janice and Don Eckroat, and Elizabeth Smith.
Glenn Erwin Thompson was born in Fort Worth, Texas on January 10, 1958 to Mary Katherine Thompson and Billy Jack Thompson. He graduated high school in 1976 at East Central High School and earned an associate degree at TCC.
Glenn enlisted in the US Army and served 3 years in the 25th infantry division at Schofield Barracks Oahu Hawaii. He married the love of his life, Cheryle Winkle, on December 8, 1979. He worked at Tulsa Public Schools as a Building and Grounds Supervisor, and later at Sodexo as an Area Supervisor.
Glenn passed away on warm and beautiful spring morning on May 7, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was a son, father, brother, husband, mentor and a good God loving man. He will be forever missed and loved always by those who had the privilege of knowing him.
A public visitation will be held on Monday, May 13, 2024, from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM, at Floral Haven Funeral Home: 6500 S 129th E Ave, Broken Arrow, OK 74012.
Anyone wishing to send flowers may do so by ordering through our website or by calling Floral Designs by Floral Haven at (918) 459-1525. Any independent florists may deliver flowers directly to Floral Haven Funeral Home by 3:30 PM on Monday, May 13, 2024, in order for them to be set out and properly displayed for Glenn's visitation.
A funeral service to honor the life of Glenn will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel, located at 6500 S 129th E Ave, Broken Arrow, OK 74012, with Pastor David Lessner officiating.

Interment will follow at 11:15 AM, immediately after conclusion of the chapel service at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens in Veterans Field of Honor. The U.S. Army Honor Guard will be in attendance to render Military Honors in honor of Glenn and his service to his country.
A reception will be held once the grave committal concludes from 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM at Floral Haven’s Family Center. Glenn's family would like to warmly extend an invitation to anyone wishing to attend the reception in order to continue in fellowship and sharing of memories. The Floral Haven Family Center is also located at Floral Havel Funeral Home, 6420 S 129th E Ave, Broken Arrow, OK 74012.
