Barnett, Gloria Jean's Obituary
Gloria Jean Barnett, passed away peacefully and surrounded with love on Tuesday May 20th 2025 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Born on February 23rd 1955 in Hilo, Hawaii to Gadioso (Teddy) Pulgados Sr. and Leonora (Resurreccion Pulgados) Baligad, she was 70 years old at time of passing and resided in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Gloria spent most of her life on the Big Island of Hawaii where she attended Hillo High School and Hilo Community College. She married the love of her life Richard Barnett on June 4th 1977 in Hilo, Hawaii. Gloria was a very hard working woman and was employed at AIRCO for the last 17 years. She was a sweet, kind, compassionate, gentle soul, and a very caring catholic woman that loved her family dearly. She enjoyed spending her time with family, cooking, laughing and just being together. Gloria is predeceased by her parents Alfredo & Leonora Baligad, Gadioso (Teddy) & Vinora Pulgados, and her husband Richard Barnett. She is survived by her daughter Richelle (Michael) DiOrio, her son Jason (Amanda) Barnett, her grandchildren James (Kayley) Camacho, Cade DiOrio (Luci Dittus), Alyssa (Marshall) Hatfiled, Bradyen Barnett, Ava Barnett, Lyla Barnett all of Tulsa, OK; siblings Diana Pulgados of Hilo, HI, Alicia (Baligad) Stevens of Honolulu, HI, Alfreda (Baligad) Rapoza of Pepeekeo, HI, Angela (Sam) Baligad Kahikina of Hilo, HI, Virginia (Victor) DePeralta of Hilo, HI, Anna (Ernie) Ugalde of Pepeekeo, HI, Gadi (Kristine) Pulgados Jr of Keaau, HI, Chris (Des) Pulgados of Pepeekeo, HI, Charles Pulgados of Pepeekeo, HI, Taniya (Jamo) Batangan of Mountain View, HI, sister in law Shirley (Jerry) Breashears of Coweta, OK and numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins. A memorial service for Gloria will be held at Floral Haven on Thursday June 5th 2025 at 12:30pm (causal attire). In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to The Clarehouse in memory of Gloria would be appreciated.
If you would like to wear Hawaiian shirts or attire when attending the funeral, the family thinks it would be a great way to honor Gloria and create a more meaningful celebration of life.
