Sherry, Garry Don and Brittney,
Gloria entered my life in 1964-65, when she and Garry were dating, and then she became his wife. She remained in my life for 55 years, until 10:04 a.m., May 10, 2019, when I heard her take her last breath. She may be gone, but she will be in my heart until my death. Were there ups and downs in those 55 years? Yes, many, but she was family, and family is forever. Was she ornery? You bet she was. She was the very definition of the word! But, who in our family isn’t? Did she make mistakes? Too many to count, but who in our family hasn’t? She gave my parents grandchildren. She gave me a niece and nephew. She was family, and I loved her. I spent some time with Gloria the morning before she died. As we were visiting she said, “I need to pray.” Her prayer was, “Lord, forgive me.” We visited and she said, “I need to pray.” Her prayer was, “Lord, take care of my babies.” We visited and she said, “I need to pray.” Her prayer was, “Lord, make it easy.” Her final prayer was answered. Her death was so easy and peaceful, and I thank God for that. My prayer is, “Lord, take care of Sherry, Garry Don, and Brittney. Let them find peace in their hearts with Gloria’s passing.” I love you, Aunt Barbara
