When I worked in the same building as Gordon on East Skelly Drive we had a great love hate over OSU/OU. When I would go to his office for anything as I left I would flip his OU rug over. ?? My dad also enjoyed visiting with him at the Thornton Y. Prayers for your family.
Jeff and family, I am so sorry about your loss.Interesting the connections of family over the years. My Mom knew your father during their high school years. Jeff and I met at out days at Phillips and have kept in touch since by FB. My mother passed away 3 weeks ago and now your father. Our parents generation was no doubt, "the greatest generation"Keeping all of the Patten family in our thoughtsKevin Kinney
I've known Gordon since we were in grade school (Osage) so many memories. When he ran for Mayor of Tulsa, his wife Pat and I walked the streets of downtown Tulsa with placards (front and back) that said "Vote for Gordon Patten " He was always a good friend and someone I could relie on and always had a shoulder for me to cry on. I was there when the children were born and loved each one. Gordon had a winning smile, great personality, and loved by all. He touched so many lives, he will be missed. RIP dear friend Love, Joan
