Elaine Burnside's Obituary
Goshenea“Elaine”Burnside passed away peacefully May 10 2024 at 2:55am surrounded by her family Elaine worked as a teller for Bank of America in Fairfield, California for many years she suffered from a Hereditary condition Dupuytren's contracture of both palms and feet that effected her ability to work.
Even after all of the unsuccessful surgeries to correct her hands and feet along with the pain and suffering, it did not stop her from enjoying life to its fullest she didn’t let her disabilities affect her will. She continued raising her 3 girls and supported her Husband of 49years.
Elaine loved cooking for her family and enjoyed broad games and playing cards She was a skilled bowler, she and her husband enjoyed motorcycle riding to various destinations, like Sturgis, Lake Tahoe,Reno family trips to Illinois every summer, going to her favorite catfish restaurant she always made sure her girls had great summers, Disney land, theme parks and Hawaii with her two older daughters.
Visiting her, you would wake up to the smell of the coffee brewing, sometimes a full breakfast cooking with the sound of QVC Or Price is Right in the background
Elaine enjoyed her late night buttery pop corn and Reese’s cups snuggling up with her fluffy blanket and fluffy socks. She enjoyed girls night with her 3 daughters loved long hugs.
As the matriarch of the family, Elaine leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience. She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald L. Burnside, her grandson Andrew Lockwood, Her niece Ryan Pebsworth her parents, and her brother Frank T. Ryan Jr. She is survived by her daughters Tamra and husband James Lockwood, Cynthia Woodard, and Melissa with husband Andrew Rothman, her grandchildren Anthony, Thomas, Meagan , James Lockwood Jr. and Emily Lockwood, Katelyne “Elaine” McCracken and her husband Nick, Kyle Woodard, Jaden, Colin, and Liam Rothman; and her great-grandchild, Kaya Marie Lockwood. Elaine’s sisters, Sharon Peachey and Alice Ladwig, also mourn her passing. Elaine’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. May she rest in peace.
