Greg Maddux's Obituary
Greg Maddux, 62 of Tulsa, Oklahoma passed from this life on Monday, March 25, 2019 at Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was born November 14, 1956 in Lawrence, Kansas to his parents, Howard Aubrey Maddux and Hattie Lorraine Davis Maddux.Greg was a native Tulsan that attended Lombard Elementary, Roosevelt Jr High, downtown Central High School, Oklahoma State University, and University of Tulsa Law School. He was a long time, well known and respected, attorney in Tulsa. He owned Title One, a Real Estate Title and Closing Company. He was an avid sports fan and always near and dear to his heart was Oklahoma State.Greg will be missed immensely by all his family and friends. Everyone knows Greg as a man with a big heart, compassion for all, and great sense of humor. Any memory with Greg, is a good one. He was sure to keep you laughing but always there if you needed him. No matter who you were, his heart for helping was endless although he never wanted credit. He enjoyed joking and arguing/debating with his nieces and nephews. Sometimes you couldn’t tell the difference.Words can not express the sadness and sorrow that fills our hearts. To borrow from an OSU spirit slogan, “Pistols Firing”, forever.Greg is survived by his significant other, Tami Naifeh of the home; one brother, Gary Lynn Maddux and his wife Donna of Tulsa, Oklahoma; two sisters, Jackie Bachtel and her husband Anthony of Inola, Oklahoma and Karen Maddux-Ward of Tulsa, Oklahoma; nieces and nephews, Jessica Pruitt, K C Crow Maddux, Melissa Maddux Renner and her husband Cody, Megan Maddux, Kayla Ward-Hingle and her husband Nic, and Dalton Ward; and two great-nephews, Seton Renner and Lawson Renner. Greg was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Hattie Maddux.Visitation will be held from 3-7 p.m. on Thursday, March 28, 2019 at Floral Haven Funeral Home with a celebration of life service at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, March 29, 2019 at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel. There will be a reception at Floral Haven’s Family Center immediately following services.The family has requested, in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the American Heart Association in Honor of Greg Maddux by going to: heart.org.
