My family was just having dinner, tonight ,on August 1st, 2021, and I was sharing some on my medical school stories, and dr Greg Williams name was mentioned. I first met Greg at Grandview Hospital in 1977. I was in a nuclear medicine program, and Greg was in his last year of his internal medicine residency. We became friends playing tennis, which he loved to do. He guided me into getting osteopathic medical school. He showed me how to be persistent in reaching my goal of becoming a physician. I just read this obituary, and I am devastated. Greg meant so much to me in those years of my life. I hope Pam his wife has an opportunity to read this message. I piece of my soul, my life, has just been taken from me with this finding of GREG'S passing. May he rest in peace. Pam, my deepest condolences. One of the best, if not the best, trainer during my medical school years. Forty years later, I still relate stories about how stimulating his teaching was and how full of life he was to me as a student. My deepest condolences to his family. May his soul rest peacefully in God's grace.

Greg was the Older Brother of one of my Best Friends growing up in Broken Arrow. (Charlie). The McWilliams were one of the Cornerstone Families of the community. The last time I saw Greg was at a Kappa Sigma Fraternity Party @ OU. Fond memories from days gone by.

Greg was generous, fair and an excellent teacher. I worked for him for about ten years part-time. He expected hard work and appreciated his team. He could break down the function of the heart in a way that any patient could understand the difference between the electrical and pumping systems. One of his patients returned post-hospitalization and wanted to know what to eat now that his heart was functioning well after Greg's care. Greg politely asked if the patient was still going to smoke. When the patient replied that he would after doing so for many years, Greg promptly responded that he "wouldn't worry about what he ate". Needless to say, the patient stopped smoking. His honesty resonated, and his patient's appreciated that he could relate to anyone. Greg continued to read and learn his whole life and loved seeing that passion for learning in others. His intelligence, innate ability to convey wonderful stories and explain complex material made him someone who others wanted to be around. He was funny, and the heart of the party, and made others feel at home whether it was at his office, his home or at one of his infamous KILLER BALL parties. He truly loved his son, Zachary, and reveled in keeping us informed of all the milestones as he grew into a man who he respected.

I am better for knowing him and having him as a boss and friend.

Chip, Scott & Jean Ann and families,

Like many, I was surprised and saddened to learn of Greg's passing. He was always the picture of health, and seemed to be in control. I have such fond memories of growing up at Arrow Heights Baptist Church with the McWilliams clan; it was rare for any of us to miss any church service. Greg and I were the same age.

Greg was Elmer's doctor when he discovered the blockage in the widow maker. Elmer trusted his advice and all thankfully went well. He had a good reputation in the Tulsa area for being one of the best.

I deeply regret that I am unable to attend the service tomorrow, but will have each of you in my thoughts and prayers for strength and comfort.
