Gregory Spahn's Obituary
Gregory D Spahn of Broken Arrow, OK passed from this life peacefully on Thursday, October 13, 2022. He was born October 1, 1948, in Boston, MA to HOF baseball pitcher Warren Spahn and LoRene (Hill) Spahn. Growing up Greg alternated between three states while his dad played baseball. He lived in Milwaukee, WI, Anna Maria, FL, and the family ranch in Hartsthorne, OK. When Greg reached junior high age, he spent the school year in Hartsthorne playing sports. He graduated high school in Hartsthorne and went on to the University of Oklahoma on a baseball scholarship. He graduated from OU with a business administration degree and worked at Cities Service for several years before going into real estate. He continued this career until he retired. As a young boy Greg loved going to the ballpark with his dad. He was there so often the Braves gave him jobs. He also worked for the Green Bay Packers as a kid.
Greg loved all outdoor sports, especially hunting and fishing at Diamond Star Ranch in Hartsthorne. He loved watching OU football. He looked forward every fall to his hunting trips to the ranch with his hunting buddies.
He loved teaching his children and grandchildren how to fish, shoot, and drive while visiting the ranch. His ranch was always “home” to him, and he loved being there. He also loved sharing it with family and friends. His beach house in Anna Maria, Florida was another place he loved spending time with family and friends.
Greg is survived by his wife LuAnn of the home in Broken Arrow. Also, his children Nicole Fitzpatrick of Oklahoma City, Kara Leigh Jordan of Tulsa, Taylor Spahn of Coweta, Logan Spahn of Broken Arrow, Morgan Wiatrak of Bixby, grandchildren Andrew Fitzpatrick, Allison Fitzpatrick of Oklahoma City, Wilson Jordan, Reagan Jordan of Tulsa, Milani Wiatrak of Bixby.
