Gwen Johnson's Obituary
Gwen Johnson, passed away on April 27, 2025, in Owasso, Oklahoma, at the age of 62. Born on October 17, 1962, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Gwen was the cherished daughter of William E. Johnson and Eleanor Sandusky.
A proud alumna of Stillwater A&M College, Gwen carried a passion for learning and a vibrant enthusiasm for life. She was known for her adventurous spirit, whether out on the water in her kayak or spending a sunny afternoon on the golf course. An avid reader, Gwen found joy in stories that sparked imagination and insight.
Gwen's greatest joy, however, came from the love she shared with her family—especially her nieces and nephews, who adored her spirited presence and warm heart. She had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel seen and valued, and she never met a stranger. Gwen’s outgoing nature and genuine kindness made her a treasured friend to many.
She is preceded in death by her father William E Johnson and sister Jesalee Dawn Johnson.
She is survived by her mother Eleanor Sandusky, sister Krista G. Nichols and husband James, nephews Franklin Johnson, Cody Nichols and significant other Jade Davis, Dustin Melroy, nieces Brandy Halverson, Jessie Eden, Bonnie Arnett, great-niece Elaina Halverson, great-nephews Dakota Halverson, Gary Halverson, cousin Norman Sandusky Jr, along with numerous friends and loved ones.
Her life was a shining example of warmth, generosity, and connection. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know and love her.
Visitation will be held Thursday, May 1, 2025 from 5-7 PM at Floral Haven Funeral Home
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 2, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel
