Gwendolyn Adelee Gill's Obituary
Gill, Gwendolyn Adelee, 87, passed away on Easter Sunday, April 8, 2007 in Tulsa, OK. She was born on October 9, 1919 in Van Buren, Missouri to Zimri and Mae (Rose) Chilton. She was a 1938 graduate of Tulsa Central High School. She was married to Loyed E. Gill, Sr. on June 24, 1940. She dearly loved her family, and especially her grandchildren, sharing their interests in baking, sewing, fishing and having tea parties with her granddaughters. She also had many cherished friendships. She was a member of Sheridan Avenue United Methodist Church. She retired from Sears after thirty-five years of service and was a long-time election board judge. Survived By: She is survived by daughter and son-in-law Linda and Gary Pierce of Rockford, Illinois; son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Regina Gill of Owasso; brother Maurice Chilton of Prairie Grove, Arkansas; son-in-law, Glenn Logsdon, Enterprise, Alabama; and daughter-in-law, Candice Jones of Grove. She was the loving grandmother of Brandon, Brian, Brett and Molly Pierce; Trey and Amy Gill; Carrie Gill; Randi Gill; Terri Hayes; Vicki Henderson and Glenn Logsdon, Jr. She has six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Zimri and Mae Chilton; husband Loyed E. Gill, Sr.; son Loyed E. Gill, Jr.; daughter Donna Logsdon and brothers Winston Chilton and William Chilton. Visitation is scheduled Thursday, April 12, 6:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral services were be held at Floral Haven on Friday, April 13, 3:00 p.m. Reverend Joe Lynch will officiate.
