Gwyneth Kay Ooweetah Cott Carlos, a beautiful heart, born at home on September 4, 1942, and joined her parents in Heaven on April 26, 2015. She spent her first 20 years in Tulsa, learning the values and integrity that would follow her throughout her life. After graduating from Daniel Webster High School, she attend-ed OSU for a year, but craving ad-venture, she took off for Califor-nia. There, she fell in love, started a family, and gave birth to her only child and best friend, Kimmi. Missing her family and Midwestern ways, she moved back to Tulsa. Then still loving adventure, she moved to Houston, Texas, where she lived, worked, and enjoyed her life for the next 30 years. She worked as an advertising director, a bookkeeper, and an executive secretary. When her mother became ill, she moved back to Tulsa and was able to spend much precious time with her. In their outings, Gwyneth joined her mother as a member of the Dogwood Garden Club. She was able to nurture her love of nature, gardening, and planting with likeminded friends. After re-tiring from Community Bank and Trust, she pursued some of her favorite things: thriftstore shopping, animals, cook-books, and just smelling the roses.During her 2 week stay at St. Francis Hospital, the Doc-tors, Nurses and Techs could not have been nicer or more compassionate. She left this life surrounded by a multitude of loving family members who prayed with her individually and sang her favorite hymns as she went to be with the Lord.Gwyneth was preceded in death by her mother and father, Helen V.
