H. R. "Ron" Butler-White's Obituary
H. R. “Ron” Butler-White, age 88, passed away on May 21, 2015 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Ron was born on February 17, 1927 in Karagpur, India to his parents J.M. Butler-White and Charlotte Emma Bartels. Ron received his education from several universities: Singapore University, Leonard Theological College, University Queensland, and University of Malaya achieving a Bachelor’s in Education, Divinty, and Arts as well as a Master’s in Education and Education Administration. Ron served proudly as an educator and a minister for 66 years before retiring in 2013. He was married to Carol Rust on April 4, 1988 at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church. Ron was a godly, caring husband, father, grandfather who cherished his family and the Lord. He is survived by his wife Carol Ann Butler-White, his son Ron Paul (Carolyn) Butler-White, his daughter Janice (Tan) Vu, his daughter Sharon (Shawn) Hightower, his son Bryan W. Parker, his daughter Dawn (Paul) Whitmire, his son Randall (Laura) Parker, his 14 grandchildren, and his 5 great grandchildren. He was preceded in passing by his daughter Lynette Butler-White. Services will be held at Life Park Christian Church, 5900 S Union, Tulsa, Oklahoma on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at 11:00 am.
