Harley "Duane" Ray's Obituary
Harley “Duane” Ray, 71 a resident of Claremore passed away February 3, 2018 in Tulsa. Duane was born March 21, 1946 in Bakersfield, California to Clarence and Nadine Ray. The Rays soon moved to Oklahoma where Duane graduated from High School in Cleveland, Oklahoma. Duane was a diesel truck driver all his adult life. He worked for several companies in Tulsa before retiring from Borden’s Dairy Company after over 20 years of employment and after receiving numerous safety awards. Duane was a true man of faith. The two most important things in his life were God and his family. He enjoyed participating in church activities and the fellowship with other members of the congregation. Duane attended Owasso First Assembly of God Church for 12 years where he served as a greeter and usher. Duane and wife Loretta moved their church membership to Christ’s Church of Owasso in 2009. They have attended CCO ever since. Duane spent a lot of time working in his yard, mowing and caring for his flower beds. He also loved his pets. They were truly members of his family. Duane will be dearly missed by his family, his church family and friends and everyone who knew and loved him. Duane is preceded in passing by his parents, Clarence and Nadine Ray and his brother, Harold Ray. He is survived by his wife of 27 years Loretta Ray; one brother, Jimmy Ray; three daughters, Leianne Colley (COLLEE) and husband Mike; Sandra Cordova and husband Raymond; Teresa Bauman and husband Bill; four sons; Michael Ray and wife Angel; Jimmy Reynolds and wife Sharon, Thomas Shannon and Tim Shannon; grandchildren, Chance, Paige, Hunter, Zackary and Teak and by one Great Grandchild-Aubrea. As well as many other grandchildren who Duane spent many hours with and who the memory of their precious time with grandpa will forever be in their hearts.Visitation will be Wednesday, February 7, 2018 from 5-7 p.m. at Floral Haven Funeral HomeFuneral Service will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Christ’s Church of Owasso
