Harold Barnes' Obituary
Harold Barnes, beloved father, grandfather, and founder of the Tulsa Roadsters Club, passed away on January 8, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 82. Born on February 6, 1942, in Vinita, Oklahoma. Harold was the son of Kenneth Barnes and Gladys Landrum.
Harold was a passionate enthusiast of all things automotive and spent much of his life sharing that love with others. As the founder of the Tulsa Roadsters Club, he inspired generations of car lovers to come together and celebrate their shared interests. His lifelong dedication to building model sets, collecting coins, and attending car shows was a testament to his creativity and passion for craftsmanship.
In his early years, Harold enjoyed spending time fishing with his children and taking family trips. Those outings were filled with laughter, bonding, and cherished memories that he carried throughout his life.
A devoted and caring father, Harold was deeply proud of his children and his grandchildren, and they were the center of his world. His legacy lives on through them, and he will always be remembered for his boundless love, kindness, and support.
Harold was also a lifelong and enthusiastic fan of the University of Oklahoma Sooners football team, and his love for the game was a source of great joy and camaraderie for those who knew him. He especially loved talking football with his son Brian, the two would go on to share a bond forever.
Harold is preceded in death by his parents and sister Glenda.
Harold is survived by his wife Judi Barnes, son Brian Barnes, son Steven Barnes, son Phillip Rask, son David Rask, daughter Julie Wright, brother Kenneth Barnes Jr, grandchildren Jade, Skyla, Alantis and 2 great-grandchildren, along with numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and loved one.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, January 23, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be the same day from 9-12:30 PM at Floral Haven Funeral Home.
