Harold Bailey Craig's Obituary
November 4th, 1938 - April 17th, 2026
"I ain't as good as I once was but I'm as good once, as I've ever been." - Toby Keith
Harold Bailey Craig Jr was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and from the start he lived with determined, loyal, honest, and hardworking spirit. We celebrate the beautiful life that carried those traits through 87 vibrant years.
At just seventeen, Harold joined the U.S. Navy in 1956, serving at bases in Alameda and San Francisco, California. His faith as a born-again Christian guided him through every deployment and decision.
Sports lit up his days, especially cheering on his OU football and softball teams and settling in for NFL games whenever they aired. Holding a game-day conversation with Harold meant stepping into a world of stats, strategy, and pure excitement.
Family gatherings were his proudest victories. Christmas dinners with Sherry, Ricky, Scotty, Tami, and all the grandchildren filled the house with laughter, homemade pies, and endless entrees, leaving everyone full of joy long after the plates were cleared.
Harold's humor stayed sharp and quick, matching the Toby Keith motto he loved to quote. Even when life threw hard tackles, he met them head-on with a grin and unwavering resolve.

He passed peacefully at home in Lucas, Texas, after complications from a fall and GI bleed. Harold is survived by daughter Sherry Haughn and her husband Chris Haughn, son Scotty Craig, daughter Tami Haase and her husband Steven Haase, along with cherished grandchildren; he rejoins his beloved wife Lenora and son Ricky in Heaven.
Today we choose bright memories over sorrow, remembering Harold whenever an OU game kicks off or a homemade pie lands on the table. His steadfast love remains
the playbook for every future family celebration.
