Harold R. Engel's Obituary
Harold Engel passed away on November 9, 2012 in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. Harold was born on August 16, 1929 in Ottawa, Illinois to Harold and Lucille Engel. He attended school at Whittier Elementary, Wilson Junior High, and Will Rogers High School before obtaining his diploma. After his preliminary schooling, he attended University of Tulsa where received his associate's degree. He began his career at Western Auto as a blue collar worker, then proceeded to manage '7-11' stores across Oklahoma City, and finally began his own business within the pet industry. Amidst all of careers, he had one true love and her name was Rae Ann Oliver. They eventually became wed on June 19, 1958 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Harold was an incredibly hard working man especially whenever it came to his scout troop. He dedicated endless amounts of time helping each one of them to obtain their Eagle ranking. Even though Harold was surrounded with all of these events happening in his life, he never once lost what was most important to him: faith and family. Harold is survived by his wife, Rae Ann Engel, his son, Karl Engel, and his two daughters, Sarah Tuckett and Karen Runnels. Funeral services to be held at Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints on November 15, 2012 at 1:00 pm.
