Harold was a kind and remarkably thoughtful man. I knew him as a competitive wrestler from a rival school in the south suburbs of Chicago. Harold and Wes were excellent wrestlers and athletes, However what made Harold and Wes remarkable was their kindness. Respectfully John Bardis
I grew up in Homewood with Harold. We were good friends, wrestled together. Life pulled us apart but He will always be remembered. A great guy. Condolences and blessings to the Hamilton family.
I Going to miss the big Guy! We both worked overnight at lowes for the last 2.5 years. We had many conversations on our playing and coaching days.
I knew Harold when I was an assistant principal at Childers M.S. He was a great teacher and coach and an all around friend and good guy. It was a pleasure to know and work with him during my time at Childers Middle school.
We will miss seeing and chatting with Harold. We are blessed to have had him and you, Cathy and Ann, as neighbors. He loved his family, gardening, biking, and DIY projects around the house. Our heartfelt sympathies to the family.
I came to the University of Tulsa in 1976 on a football scholarship. Harold was an offensive lineman and I was a defensive end. I was on the squad that practiced against the first string offense my job was to get past Harold in order to get to the quarterback. Harold was a force to be reckoned with. I don’t believe he ever allowed me to touch the quarterback. I’ll never forget his kindness and devotion to God. We roomed together on a road trip to Cincinnati and he asked if I was born again. I said I believed in God but didn’t understand born again. He explained and asked if I wanted to receive Christ as my personal savior. I said yes and he prayed with me. I have always remembered that moment and will always cherish his friendship. Heaven is a better place now that Harold is Home !!!

In the eighth grade, when channel 8 news came to my middle school to film an update on the adoption of my sister LaCrystal and me for the show “A Waiting Child”, we filmed in Coach Hamilton’s science class. He always gave me crap because he liked me, and even more crap for being featured on the news. I LOVED him dearly. Rest Easy Coach!!!!

I was fortunate enough to be coaching football at H-F were both Harold and Wes played football. Harold like Wes were both good athletes. Both had football scholarships to Tulsa. Harold was quiet but very hard worker. He went on to teach and coach. I’m sure he was an outstanding teacher and coach. May he rest in “Pease”!
