Harry Nelson Porter's Obituary
Harry Nelson Porter, age 90, was born on February 26, 1923 in Sand Springs, Oklahoma to his parents, John and Lula Mae Porter. He was the 11th child born out of 14 children. He began working in manufacturing, and then worked as a barber for a portion of time. Eventually he owned his own business which dealt with flooring. Harry married Bertie May on July 21, 1941 in Kiefer, Oklahoma; they shared a wonderful marriage for 68 years until her passing. Harry served his country in the Army from 1943 to 1945 during WWII. He cherished and loved his family dearly. Harry is survived by his son, Ray and spouse Yvonne Porter, his son Larry Porter, his daughter Sue and spouse Ellis Orendorff, his grandsons, Eric Porter, Chris Porter, Jason Porter, Torey Porter, Greg Porter, and Zak Orendorff, his granddaughters, Kim Henson and Sarah Williamson, his great grandchildren, and his great great grandchildren.
