Haynes Young's Obituary
HAYNES 'JELLY' EWING YOUNG WAS BORN ON NOVEMBER 23, 1928 AND DEPARTED THIS LIFE ON JUNE 16, 2020 AT THE AGE OF 91.
HAYNES WAS EMPLOYED FOR 42 YEARS AT AMERICAN AIRLINES, AND PROUDLY SERVED IN THE UNITED STATES AIR FORCE. HE WAS A VITAL PART OF THE LEGENDARY BERLIN AIRLIFT. HE LOVED GARDENING, BASEBALL, QUAIL HUNTING, FISHING, WATER SKIING, CAMPING & FAMILY REUNIONS.
HE WAS MARRIED FOR 67 YEARS TO THE LOVE OF HIS LIFE, DELMA, AND IS SURVIVED BY HER. HE IS ALSO SURVIVED BY SONS RICHARD, GREG & RUSSELL; GRANDSONS AUSTIN & RUSSELL; AND BROTHER MARLIN & SISTERS LOU & HATTIE BELL. HE WILL BE GREATLY MISSED BY HIS MANY RELATIVES AND FRIENDS
Visitation will be held from 1 pm - 5 pm on Sunday, June 21 at Floral Haven Funeral Home.
Services will be at 10 am on Monday, June 22 at the Floral Haven Chapel.
