I just learned of Hazel's passing. My condolences to the Maddux and Davis families.
Ms. Hazel came to Evergreen to be closer to her daughter Paula. She was quiet but very pleasant and was very much a "Lady" She will be missed, however she is resting now in the arms of Jesus. May the Lord bless her family during this time of sorrow. My Love and prayers. Margaret Manley
One of my enduring memories of Hazel is how throughout her life she always made her daughter's friends welcome in her home. As an awkward teenager, she treated me like one of her own, sharing her home-fried catfish and that continued when I too was a grand-mother and we shared lakeside homes. I could always spend the night with Paula whenever we wanted I marveled at her two-step and dancing always brought out her best. It always brought out confidence in her smile. She knew how to make a home and her final and perfect home will be waiting with those who love her.
