Hazel Lorraine Minnick's Obituary
Hazel Minnick, age 91, a resident of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, passed from this life Saturday, July 22, 2023 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Hazel was born December 09, 1931 to Kenneth Carlton Gantz Sr. and Jessie (Mobley) Gantz in Maud, Oklahoma. She graduated from Sapulpa High School in 1949. Hazel married the love of her life, Charles S. Minnick, Jr. February 09, 1952 in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. Hazel retired from Arkansas Valley Bank as a teller in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. She will be dearly missed by her loving family: son Terry Lee Minnick and wife Susan (Hollabaugh) Minnick; daughter Toni Lynn Appelman; grandchildren: Paul G. Appelman III, Amanda Minnick-Hughes and husband Anthony, Merideth Schenk and husband William, Mitchell Minnick and wife Brock, and Matthew Minnick and wife Allyn; great-grandchildren: Ashlee Appelman, Austin Stauffer, Spencer Stauffer, Kaylee Minnick-Hughes, Chloe Hughes, Alyson Schenk, Colin Schenk, Katherine Schenk, Luci Minnick, Emmi Minnick, Eleanor Minnick, Rosalyn Lockett and Evelyn Richardson; great-great-grandchild: Jaxton Tomlin; brother Eugene Gantz; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. Hazel is preceded in death by her husband Charles S. Minnick, Jr., granddaughter Christie Appelman; brothers and sisters Kenneth Carlton Gantz Jr, Leona Lee Allen, Pauline Stevens, Logan Samuel Gantz Sr., Marguerite James, Mary Gail Gantz, and Virginia Jean Gantz.
A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held 12:30 PM, Saturday, September 09, 2023 at the Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
