Hazel Juanita Talley's Obituary
Hazel J Talley passed away at St. Francis Hospital on March 10, 2015 at 10:30pm at the age of 95 Hazel is predeceased by husband, Donald Talley, Sr. Son, John William, and daughter, Jane Suzanne. Hazel is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Gini Tureson of Tulsa her son Don Talley of Tulsa, six grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, three sisters, and one brother. Hazel was born in Hartshorne, Oklahoma in January 28, 1920. She met and married Donald Talley in 1940. She worked as an assembler in an aircraft war production plant and later worked as an inspector at Owen-Illinois glass and Pentel Pen Company in Los Angeles, California. Hazel enjoyed going to the Los Angeles Angels baseball games and later enjoyed watching baseball and football on TV (Peyton Manning was her favorite player), She enjoyed her family and always looked for ways to help them. She lived a full life, born in 1920, lived through the ‘Great Depression, WWII, raised 4 children (two teenagers during the Rock & Roll 50s and two teenagers through the 60s, somehow she survived.) She experienced the turmoil of a son in Vietnam, and on a lighter note survived retirement with her husband Donald. She was a good person and loved her family. The visitation will be held at Floral Haven Funeral home, 6500 S 129thE Ave. Broken Arrow, OK on March 15, 2015 at 10:00am – 8:00pm The funeral service will be held at Floral Haven, 6500 S 129thE Ave. Broken Arrow, OK on March 16, 2015 at 10:00 am with Reverend Merton Leigh officiating. Interment to follow at Floral Haven. A reception will take place at Floral Haven Family Center following the services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Clare house, 7617 S Mingo Rd, Tulsa, OK 74133.
