Helen Annette Croley's Obituary
Helen Annette Croley, 81, of Tulsa, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 10th, 2024, at the Bethany House in Auburn, Alabama. She was born in Sarasota, Florida, on November 4th, 1942, to Bruce Lanier Weaver and Helen Conner Albritton.
On June 14th, 1962, at the age of 20, Helen married her beloved husband, James Clarence Croley, Sr. They were soon blessed with two children, Anne Maureen Croley and James Clarence Croley, Jr., creating a family that she cherished deeply.
Helen’s passion for education blossomed later in life. After raising her children, she earned her bachelor’s degree and continued her studies, achieving two master's degrees and ultimately a doctorate. Her love of learning was evident in her daily life, as she was always reading, discovering new things, and sharing her knowledge. Helen was very passionate about her work, as she spent many years working as a paralegal for Eldridge, Cooper, Steichen, and Leach in Tulsa, OK.
Helen found joy in her beautiful garden, where she spent time nurturing her plants. She also had a knack for collecting antiques, especially old tea sets. Helen’s gentle spirit, soft-spoken demeanor, and welcoming nature made everyone feel at home, especially around her table, always full of food and conversation, often about her favorite subject—the weather.
Helen’s love for her grandchildren and pets was boundless. Her home was filled with warmth and affection, and she embraced every moment spent with her family.
Helen is survived by her children, Anne Maureen Croley and James "Jamie" Clarence Croley, Jr.; her brother, Bruce Weaver, her grandchildren, Camryn Croley, Ashtyn and Jacob Rich, Londyn and Tanner Jones, and Jordyn Croley.
The family would like to extend thanks and gratitude to the staff at Aberdeen Memory Care in Tulsa, OK and Brennity of Daphne, AL. A special thanks to the staff and doctors at the Bethany House in Auburn, AL.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Dementia Research, a cause close to the family's heart.

Psalms 23 "The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever."
