Helen Lucille Henin's Obituary
Helen Lucille Henin, a resident of Porter, passed away August 7, 2019 at the age of 78. She was born February 8, 1941 at home to Oren H. Murrell and Modena (Collins) Murrell in West Plains, Missouri. Known as Lucille, she was the oldest of four children.At age 14, Lucille met Leo Clarence Henin, age 16, and they dated for two years. The couple married in her parent’s home on March 9, 1957. After a few years of travelling and Leo’s s service in the Army, they made their home in a two-bedroom house on Irvington Avenue in Tulsa. In 1965, Darren, their first child, was born, soon followed by Sabrina and Clarice. The little house was overflowing with love and laughter. In 1976, they moved to rural Porter, OK where Lucille cared for her family, tended the garden, enjoyed wildflowers and worked by Leo’s side, living a full life until she passed away peacefully at home with him by her side.Lucille is survived by Leo, her husband of 62 years; two children, son Darren Henin and wife Alisa, and daughter Sabrina Henin; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; two sisters Carolyn Allen and her husband Craig of Belleville, KS and Bonna Jones of Porter, OK; and a multitude of nieces and nephews who will miss her homemade peanut butter cake. She was preceded in death by her daughter Clarice Henin; her parents Oren and Modena Murrell and infant brother Virgil Murrell.Viewing will be held Sunday, August 11th from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Floral Haven Funeral Home.Services will be held at 10:00 am Monday, August 12, 2019 at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel.
