Services honoring the life of Helen Leverett have been scheduled for 1:00pm Monday, February 19, 2018 at Broken Arrow Baptist Temple. Burial will follow at Floral haven Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit Floral Haven Funeral Home on Sunday, February 18, 2018; with family there to greet visitors from 2:00pm-4:00pm.Helen Louise Leverett was born Thursday, January 12, 1928 in Long Beach, California to Ralph Millard Brees and Clara Thirza (Oviatt) Brees. Helen went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 12, 2018 at the age of 90.Helen completed her nurses training in 1947 in Long Beach, California. She raised 2 boys and worked as a LVN. After 33 years of working in California; Helen moved to Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Here she worked for Granny’s of America and helped raise her great-niece. Sewing and baking were some of her favorite pastimes. She had a heart for caring for others and for the Lord. Helen was an active member of Broken Arrow Baptist Temple. Some of the things she enjoyed the most was listening and sing Hymns and hearing the Children’s Choir sing. Missions was something she believed in and support with all her heart. Helen was the beloved “Aunt” to all the church children.Memorials may be made to Broken Arrow Baptist Temple- Missions PO BOX 1197 Broken Arrow, OK 74013Helen is survived by: Son, Gordon Leverett, Simi Valley, California Honorary Granddaughter and Great-niece, Elizabeth Jacob, husband Simon Jacob, and their children, Bimla, Alyssa, Elijah, Anna, and Josiah. Many nephews and niecesHelen was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, sister, and husbandHelen Louise Leverett, a resident of Broken Arrow, passed away February 12, 2018 at the age of 90. She was born January 12, 1928 to Ralph M. Brees and Clara O. Brees in Long Beach, California.
