Virginia Swatsenbarg's Obituary
Helen Virginia (Sarten) Swatsenbarg, 88 of Tulsa Oklahoma, went to be with the Lord on December 6, 2020. Although her first name was Helen, she preferred and was known to all as Virginia. Born April 23, 1932 in Barry County, Missouri, she was the daughter of Benjamin Harrison Sarten and Sarah Josephine (Nichols) Sarten.
Virginia graduated from Colcord Oklahoma High School and shortly after married Loyd Dean Swatsenbarg. They always felt their greatest accomplishment was the production and rearing of their seven children. It's a wonder they survived! But they did, and after raising seven children, Virginia went on to work many years and retired from Oklahoma Methodist Manor.
Virginia loved her Church, Airport Freewill Baptist, and would fondly talk for hours about church activities and the loving people there. It was her faith, hope, and love that kept her strong to the very end.
Virginia was preceded in death by her daughter Patsy Jean (Swatsenbarg) Harris.
Virginia was survived by her son Bobby Dean Swatsenbarg and wife Sue, son-in-law Richard Harris, daughter Connie Ann (Swatsenbarg) Keys, son Steven Michael Swatsenbarg and wife Dianna, son Ronald Dale Swatsenbarg and wife Linda, daughter Pamala Kay (Swatsenbarg) Gentry, and son Kevin Ray Swatsenbarg as well as many grand and great grand children.
It is with great sadness our beloved mother is no longer with us, but we are comforted in knowing she is now resting in peace with the Lord.
