Henry Wade Finley's Obituary
Henry Wade Finley, beloved spouse, father, grandfather, friend and hero, age 85 years, passed peacefully, Monday, February 19, 2018 at home surrounded by his loving family.Wade was born December 18, 1932, to Jackson and Veda King Finley, in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Wade was raised with a passion and appreciation for raising cattle. He was an honorary member of the Broken Arrow and Coweta Round-Up Club. Wade coached several of his sons’, Kenny and Toby, baseball teams. In addition to a devoted rancher, Wade spent every moment he had with his children and grandchildren, creating a lifetime of memories sharing the banana pudding bowl; spending the summer at the land; working the cows; passing the knowledge of ranching, that was once passed down to him; respecting the land and all that roam it. His care for all living creatures, led to many abused and/or neglected animals finding a sanctuary and loving environment to live out their lives. In many cases, at Wade’s on expense, he never complained. He was always attached to any animal in which he cared for. Wade was known to many as a fair, firm man, always willing to lend a hand. His integrity was passed down to his children and grandchildren. Wade’s legacy will continue to live on.Wade is preceded in death by his children Kenneth Don “Toby” Wade Finley and Lisa Bartolina.Wade is leaves behind his wife of 42 plus years, Mary Russell Finley of the home; children: Henry Wade Finley, Jr., John Russell, Garry Russell, Kenneth Russell, and Kim Lewis; grandchildren Stacie Fales, Stephanie Kelle, Morgan Finley, Greg Bartolina, Leslie Earhart, Toby Wade Finley, Jr., Michael Russell, Robert Russell, Gabrielle Ward, Kennadi Russell Cathryn Murphy, Maggie Russell, Derrick Lewis, David Lewis, and Melissa Russell; great-grandchildren: Riley and Dylan Bartolina, Abbiegail and Alyna Earnhart, Rowan and Jedidiah Finley, James and Darby Fales, and Daphane, Finley, Scarlett, Avery and Chelsea Russell.Viewing will be held 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at the Floral Haven Visitation Suites, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.A chapel service will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday, February 22, 2018 at the Floral Haven Rose Chapel, in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
