Henry Allen Hollopeter's Obituary
Henry Allen Hollopeter was born on October 22,1955, in Roseburg, OR, to Edward Allen Hollopeter and Veda Hollopeter. He passed away on July 31, 2015, at Shepherd Center, a specialty hospital located in Atlanta, GA. Henry died from complications due to injuries sustained from an accident on December 18, 2014, in Ponca City, OK. He spent nearly 8 months valiantly fighting to recover from those injuries, but the Lord felt it was time for Henry to rest and find peace.Henry graduated from high school in 1974 in Riddle, OR, where he excelled in wrestling, football and baseball. He then served in the Navy for 5 years, after which he moved to Tulsa, OK, where he attended college, met and married the love of his life, Mary, and had 3 wonderful children. Henry was very proud of his family, and his family was devoted to him.Henry ran a successful lawn and landscape business for more than 30 years but always considered lawn care a hobby, as he enjoyed his work so much. For the past 13 years, he also worked as a superintendent for Concrete Services Corporation. He was a “working boss” who loved his job and the people with whom he worked. The men and women of Concrete Services quickly became a second family to him.A big outdoorsman, Henry always wanted to be outside and often worked 7 days a week just enjoying God’s earth. After a long hard day at work, it was not uncommon for Henry to take an evening ride on his Harley. During hunting season, he spent most every weekend hunting alongside his children, teaching and sharing with them one of his most beloved pastimes.Henry is survived by his wife of 30 years, Mary, and their 3 children, William and wife Caitlin, Travis, and Carissa of Broken Arrow, OK; his sister Dalrie Hoyle and Rich Hoyle of WA, niece and nephews Marlena, Curtis and Matt; sister Helen Compton of Bixby, OK, niece and nephew Brittany and Brandon; sister Velma Stevens of WA, and nieces Meghan , Rachel, Halsey and Michella.A fundraiser has been set up for those of you wishing to contribute to help with the costs of the funeral costs.
