Herman LeeRoy Reedy's Obituary
Herman LeeRoy Reedy passed away Tuesday, December 16, 2008. He was born January 15, 1930 to Jesse F. and Fludie James Reedy in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Herman served in the U.S. Army for three years and fought in the Korean War. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion, as well as a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. He retired from Rockwell International and Boeing Aircraft. Herman loved airplanes and closely followed the space program. He enjoyed travel, photography, and good food. Herman started riding a Harley when he was young and continued to be an avid Harley Davidson fan. He was quite the storyteller and always had a joke to share with his friends. Herman was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Jesse H. and Robert H. Reedy, and beloved daughter, Margarita Moss. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sandra Reedy, brother and sister-in-law, Henry and Theresa Reedy of California; daughter and son-in-law, Jolene and Jim Durham; son and daughter-in-law, John and Coby Reedy; his favorite and only granddaughter, Jennifer Lynn Moss, and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6-7:30 p.m., Wednesday, December 17,2008 at Floral Haven Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 P.M., December 18, 2008 at First Presbyterian Church, Tulsa. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma, 1304 N.
