Herman Donald Surface Herman Donald Surface was 96 years old and he lived in Bixby, Oklahoma. He passed away Dec. 1st, 2011 at home from Colon Cancer. He was born on July 23rd, 1915 in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was an Design engineer for Boeing Aircraft and many other defense contractors. He loved fishing, traveling, reading and telling story of his childhood. He was married to Melba Surface for 68 years, she passed away on July 12th, 2011 at her home in Bixby, Oklahoma. He was survived four children, three living in Tulsa and one living in Phoenix, Arizona, plus five grand-children and eight great-grand-children and one great-great-grandchild. Visitation time: 11 am to 9 pm on Monday, December 5th, 2011 Service will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, December 6th, 2011, Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel, Broken Arrow. Reception 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM following the service at Floral Haven Family Center. Memorial donations will be accepted in place of flowers.
