Homer Franklin Swepston's Obituary
Homer Franklin Swepston, a resident of Tulsa, passed away November 22, 2018 at the age of 92. He was born February 14, 1926 to Henry Franklin Swepston and Mildred (Johnson) Swepston in Welling, Oklahoma. He served in the United States Navy during WWII.Homer enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. He was a licensed gunsmith for many years and he was also a master craftsman. There was nothing Homer couldn’t fix or build.He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Mildred Swepston; brothers Kenneth, Harold, Jesse, Micky, Darrel and David, and sister Peggy.Survivors include by his wife, Sue Swepston; children, Debbie Kirk and her husband Larry, Viki Keller, Marilyn Mauldin and her husband Keith and Paul Swepston; grandchildren Julie, Karen, Becky, Carey, Katie, Alex, Zack, and twelve great grandchildren.Viewing will be held Tuesday, November 27th from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Floral Haven Funeral Home.Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at Floral Haven Funeral Home with Jerry Swepston officiating.
