Howard Joseph Gordon, Jr, died on Thursday, October 16, 2014, in Claremore, Oklahoma. He was born in Denver, Colorado, on May 8, 1945, the son of Howard Gordon, Sr and Nadine (Ocepk) Gordon.He was the 2nd of 3 children. He attended Henryetta High School, and Oklahoma State Technical Institute in Okmulgee from Aug. 1970 to Dec. 1972 when he earned a degree as a Diesel Mechanic.After graduation he he began his career in the United States Navy. Following his service to our country he worked in the Food Services Industry until 2001 when he retired and moved into the Veterans Center in Ardmore, Oklahoma later moving to Claremore Veterans Center where he lived and made/had many friends that became family until his death.On Nov. 11, 1972 he married Rebecca Carter out of this short union came two children; David Andrew Gordon Feb. 7, 1974 ; and the best daughter Bonnie Sue Gordon Isaacs and four grandchildren: Amanda Leann, Megan Marie, Dannie Eugene, Jr; and David Scott these were the loves of his life.On Oct 14th Bro Bob his best friend in Claremore had the privilege of leading Howard to the Lord in Salvation so you will see him Heaven some day.At Claremore he got to doing leather crafts and became very talented at it, made and sold many different items. The most important events were the births of each of his children. Marion Bloom, David, Bonnie, and the three grandchildrenHe always liked country music.Surviving Relatives Include:Daughter: Bonnie Gordon Isaacs and Danny-spouse Grandchildren: Megan-11, Dannie Jr-9, and David Scott-7 Sister: Carolyn Peterson and Jerry – spouse; and nephew Phillipe Brother: Earl Gordon and Diane – spouse Nephews Adam Gordon and family. Bradley Gordon and family.Proceeded In Death by: Parents: Howard and Nadine Gordon, granddaughter Amanda Leann, daughter Marion Bloom, and son David Gordon.The Graveside service will be held on Tuesday November 4th, 2014 at 11:00 am in the West Lawn Cemetery in Henryetta Oklahoma.Pastor of Clearview Baptist Church in Okmulgee will be officiating the graveside service.
