Howard Lloyd Lundin's Obituary
Howard Lloyd Lundin passed away surrounded by his family on May 15, 2011 at his home in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Howard was born on November 25, 1930 to Hilmer and Leona Lundin in Shevlin, Minnesota. He married Delois Eloise Wells on July 18, 1949 in Okemah, OK, spending 62 joyful years together. Howard was a manager for Consumers Oil Company in Tulsa for more than 20 years. In 1980 he moved on to Harrison Manufacturing, working in Inside Sales until his passing. Howard met Jesus as his Savior on May 11, 1978 and served his Lord and those around him faithfully for the rest of his life. He lovingly served as a deacon and Sunday School teacher at Charity Baptist Church for decades. He studied Theology at the Mingo Valley Bible Institute and led a monthly Bible Study for the residents of the Broadmoor Nursing Home. Howard was an outdoorsman his whole life. He loved to fish and hunt, taking trips across the country to hunt with his brothers, sons and nephews. Howard also served his community as an auxiliary officer in the Tulsa Police Department in the 1960's. Howard is survived by his loving wife, Delois; children, Charlene Warner and husband Cloyd, David Lundin and wife Karen, Mike Lundin and wife Latricia, and Paul Lundin and wife Kim; grandchildren, Lori Kingston and husband Lyle, Brian Lundin, Kristen Loyd and husband Jordan, Sarah Lundin, Rebecca Lundin, Emma Cecka and husband Stephen, Justin Holtslander, Miranda Holtslander, Alyssa Lundin, Hannah Lundin, Haylee Crihfield, and one on the way; great-grandchildren, Khylie Lundin, Jacob Poire, Aiden Poire; brother, Richard Lundin and wife Rose; sister, Patty Purchase. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Louis and Ervin Lundin; and sister, Erma Moe.
